UMIDIGI Z2 SE è inserito in una scatola nera rettangolare con il motivo dell'impronta digitale impresso sulla parte superiore del coperchio. Il logo UMIDIGI si trova in un cerchio al centro del coperchio. All'interno, il dispositivo si trova nel vano superiore con una protezione per lo schermo pre-applicata. Sotto di esso, vedrete tutti gli accessori insieme ad una nota di ringraziamento.

UMIDIGI Z2 SE si presenta benissimo ed è molto piacevole da tenere in mano, uguale in tutto e per tutto al fratello Z2. Il dispositivo è abbastanza leggero (pesa 165g), si adatta bene al palmo della mano ed il grande display FHD+ da 6.2” in 19:9 con Notch fa una buona impressione, ha un’ottima riproduzione cromatica, buona luminosità ed il touchscreen è molto preciso. Il frontale è coperto da un vetro curvo 2.5D, mentre la parte posteriore è composta da un vetro curvo su quattro lati. Entrambe sono tenute insieme da un telaio in lega di alluminio.

UMIDIGI Z2 SE ha un corpo compatto per un display così grande. In termini di larghezza, questo dispositivo è largo 74,4 mm, pochissimi mm in più di S9+. È anche uno degli smartphone più corti, con un display alto 153,4 mm. Lo spessore è di 8,3 mm, buoni se si pensa ai 3850mAh di batteria in dote al dispositivo.

Una qualità costruttiva degna di un prodotto di fascia alta dunque, con un ottimo display.

Software

UMIDIGI Z2 SE arriva con Android Oreo 8.1, con un software del tutto indentico a quello di Z2.
Vi sono tutte le applicazioni predefinite di Google e Android. Nessun bloatware di sorta. Le applicazioni di Google hanno aspetto e funzionalità Android stock.

Il menu Impostazioni è un tipico menu Android Oreo, anche se alcune delle opzioni sono espanse in menu separati, per un totale di 16 menu separati. I primi sono abbastanza standard. Il menu Smart Assistant è diverso da quello standard. Da qui è possibile personalizzare la barra di navigazione sullo schermo, impostare diverse funzioni flip per disattivare l'audio o utilizzare lo scanner QR. Nel menù Archiviazione si ha a disposizione una levetta per attivare uno Storage Manager e un'opzione per liberare spazio pulendo file superflui.

I menu Face Unlock e Fingerprint sono posizionati in due menu separati. Il menu Face Unlock consente di salvare un Face ID e offre quattro modalità d'uso. Il Face ID funziona bene e non si sblocca tramite foto, seppur si tratti di un sistema 2D.

Il menu Impronte digitali consente di salvare e cancellare gli ID delle impronte digitali. Inoltre, è possibile attivare una o più funzioni quando si tocca il sensore, anche se non è stato impostato un ID. Ad esempio, è possibile impostare un tocco come comando Indietro o Ritorno all' home. Il funzionamento è molto preciso, la velocità è nella media.

La voce Gestures ha praticamente una sola opzione - andare alla fotocamera. Se si attiva questa opzione, sarà possibile avviare l'applicazione Fotocamera con due clic sul pulsante di accensione, indipendentemente dalla schermata in cui ci si trova.

Il sistema operativo risulta leggero e ben ottimizzato, non ho riscontrato lag o blocchi durante l’utilizzo, un’esperienza fluida e piacevole. Unico aspetto penalizzante è che a causa del notch non vedrete icone di notifica delle app, ma dovrete abbassare il menù a tendina.

Multimedia

L’altoparlante di sistema ha una buona potenza in uscita ed una buona qualità della riproduzione sonora, solo leggermente carente di bassi. La capsula audio frontale ha un buon volume, la qualità è buona e riproduce bene la voce dell’interlocutore. Il microfono fornisce un suono pulito a chi ci ascolta.

La fotocamera principale è una 16 megapixel Samsung S5K3P8 con apertura ƒ/1.7 e la secondaria è una 8 megapixel, utile per calcolare la profondità di campo e realizzare la sfocatura. Le foto, al pari del fratello Z2, sono davvero buone, di sicuro le migliori viste sino ad oggi negli smartphone UMIDIGI ed in tutti quelli di marchi secondari, colori ben riprodotti e poco rumore.
La messa a fuoco non è molto veloce ma è comunque precisa. L’HDR lavora bene. I video in Full HD sono apprezzabili anche se leggermente traballanti se non avete mano ferma. La sera la qualità ovviamente si abbassa, ma il flash lavora bene e sarà possibile ottenere scatti accettabili.

Buona anche la doppia fotocamera frontale (16 + 8 megapixel) capace di realizzare buoni selfie, anche con effetto sfocatura se vorrete.

Benchmark e performance

Il dispositivo monta il SoC Mediatek Helio P23 con frequenza massima di clock di 2.3Ghz. Octacore a 64bit di nuova generazione, introduce prestazioni decisamente migliori e con minor consumo energetico rispetto al 6750T tanto abusato, è il rivale diretto dello Snapdragon 625. Ha un comparto grafico nettamente migliore rispetto alla precedente generazione grazie alla GPU più moderna, il sistema gira sempre fluido ed è impossibile metterlo alla corda nell'uso quotidiano, i 4GB di RAM riescono a garantire un ottimo multitasking, permettendo di tenere aperte diverse app, anche impegnative.

Molto bene il browsing (ancor più con chrome) e le performance generali di sistema, nessun problema con la riproduzione video in FullHD. Lo spazio di archiviazione è buono: 64GB (54 disponibili al netto del sistema e le app) espandibili permettono un’ottima versatilità.

Anche nel gaming ci collochiamo nella fascia media, tendente a medio-alta: Real Racing 3 gira al massimo in modo fluido, con impercettibili cali di frame solo nelle situazioni più frenetiche. In generale, sarà possibile giocare a quasi tutti i titoli del playstore senza problemi, titoli come PUBG spingono la gpu al limite e causano qualche lag alle impostazioni più elevate, ma per giocare al massimo a quelli vi servirebbe un top di gamma in ogni caso.

Sensori/connettività

questi i sensori rilevati sul dispositivo. Giroscopio e Bussola presenti, manca l’NFC ed il led di notifica.
Ho provato il GPS per il mio solito tragitto di lavoro con Sygic, Supporta GPS e GLONASS, non si è sganciato durante il tragitto quotidiano di circa un'ora. Primo fix fulmineo, ottima la presenza della bussola che da maggior precisione. Ho incluso uno screen di un fix effettuato dentro casa per valutare la sensibilità dell'antenna, aspetto promosso.
Bluetooth (4.2) perfetto con l'auto, senza problemi anche con la cuffia.

Z2 SE è dotato di WiFi a/b/g/n dual band ed ha una buona capacità di agganciare e mantenere il segnale. Ho provato il test ad una stanza di differenza dal router con una parete molto spessa nel mezzo, perde solo poco segnale. Copre senza problemi l’intero appartamento, poco più di 100mq.

Gli slot sim sono due, entrambi nanosim, per poter usare la scheda di memoria è necessario sacrificare una scheda sim.

Il 4G supporta l'LTE CAT.6 su entrambe le sim e non ho riscontrato alcun problema, sia a livello di segnale che di velocità. Lo smartphone supporta ben 36 frequenze 4G, un gran plus se si pensa di viaggiare oltreoceano.

Autonomia

Z2 SE arriva con una batteria da 3850mAh. Ho raggiunto le 5 ore e 20 di schermo acceso con illuminazione al 60%, e 15% rimanente (equivalente ad 1 ora residua, per quasi 6 ore e mezza totali allo zero), wifi sempre acceso, 2 mail in push, 2 ore abbondanti di youtube, 1 di Real Racing 3, più di 1 ora e mezza di browsing web, uso continuativo di whatsapp, telegram, skype, gps.

In linea generale, un utente medio può arrivare in tutta tranquillità a sera, mentre i più parsimoniosi possono arrivare anche ad 1 giorno e mezzo-due.

Col caricabatterie in dotazione si carica da zero in poco meno di due ore.

In conlcusione:
UMIDIGI Z2 SE è TALE E QUALE al fratello Z2, le uniche 2 differenze sono 2GB di RAM in meno ed un prezzo inferiore. Per il resto, qualità costruttiva degna di un fascia alta, schermo nitido e definito, fotocamere di buon livello sono i punti forti di questo smartphone, che su questi comparti ha poco ( o nel caso di questo SE forse nulla) da invidiare ai suoi rivali di qualunque marca in quella fascia di prezzo.
Hardware prestante e software snello, ma funzionale. Come per il fratello, l’unico appunto da fare in questo senso è relativo alla gestione delle notifiche causa notch, che anche a causa dell’assenza del led di notifica rende impossibile vedere se si hanno notifiche senza aver acceso lo schermo e tirato giù il menù a tendina. Manca l’NFC, prerogativa del suo fratello maggiore Z2 Pro, ed anche il jack audio da 3.5mm.

Z2 al momento si trova a 190 euro, Z2 SE a 155 euro circa, considerando che 4GB di RAM sono un quantitativo adeguato anche per utenti “smanettoni”, risparmiare quasi 40 euro per avere un telefono del genere è assolutamente consigliabile, siamo davanti ad un best buy che, adesso, si pone in una fascia di prezzo decisamente aggressiva e vantaggiosa per ciò che offre, ancora più del predecessore.
Z2 SE ed UMIDIGI ONE PRO sono i best buy UMIDIGI, assolutamente in grado di dare filo da torcere ai competitor più blasonati in quella fascia di prezzo!

Salve a tutti, ho già letto alcune discussioni sul rooting ma non ho trovato una soluzione.
Mio padre ha preso un Note 8 usato ma come nuovo, e usandolo si è accorto che alcune applicazioni non andavano perchè il telefono risulta modificato/rootato. Ho guardato con root checker e dice di no, e ho anche usato odin per installare da capo il sistema, ma continua a dare problemi con certe app (tipo samsung pay per intenderci).
è possibile che non sia rootato ma queste app pensino di si anche dopo aver fatto un hard reset?

posseggo un Samsung Galaxy S7 SM-G930P versione Sprint comprato dall'America, inizialmente con blocco operatore. Essendo complessa la procedura di sblocco operatore (il telefono non chiedeva un codice di sblocco), mi sono affidato al sito unlockauthority.com per sbloccare il terminale e poterlo usare con tutti gli operatori (mi hanno fornito un programma che sbloccava il telefono via USB collegandolo con un loro operatore online). Inizialmente il telefono funzionava benissimo e non dava nessun problema, ma dopo la procedura di sblocco mi sono accorto che il telefono ha smesso di fare aggiornamenti via OTA (è rimasto bloccato ad android 7.0!) infatti ogni volta che vado a cercare nuovi aggiornamenti non vengono rilevati, e cosa ancor più preoccupante è che il telefono non viene rilevato in nessun modo quando collegato al PC via USB, sia per trasferire i dati (MTP) e sia con ODIN non c'è verso che venga rilevato. Il telefono ricarica solamente ma il collegamento dati con il pc è completamente assente, nessuna notifica ne sul pc, ne sullo smartphone. Attendo vostri pareri e soluzioni, grazie
